Raffles Seychelles

Multi award-winning Raffles Seychelles is a luxury, all-villa resort located on the tropical island of Praslin. The resort enjoys direct beachfront access on Anse Takamaka, with a 500-metre long stretch of soft white sand and crystalline blue sea. There are 86 luxuriously appointed villas with private plunge pools, infused with Seychellois spirit along with excellent Raffles service. Dine at a choice of two main restaurants and three lounges/bars, including the Curieuse Seafood Restaurant. Enjoy a variety of watersports from kayaking to snorkelling, or explore Praslin or the neighbouring marina parks on an excursion. Alternatively, unwind in the award winning Raffles Spa, with ocean views from the treatment rooms.

The resort enjoys direct beachfront access on Anse Takamaka, with a 500-metre long stretch of soft white sand and crystalline blue sea.  There are two outdoor infinity pools, the Raffles Spa (with fitness studio, beauty salon, steam room, sauna and whirlpools), yoga and pilates and table tennis. Complimentary water sports include kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and snorkelling. You can also snorkel at the gorgeous Anse Lazio beach nearby.

The resort’s strategic location provides the perfect opportunities for excursions to neighbouring islands, some of which are nurturing sanctuaries for rare endemic flora and fauna, as well as animal and insect species.

The dedicated concierge is available to organise tours and excursions and provide general information about events and other activities. The island of La Digue is a short 15 minute boat ride awqy from Raffles Seychelles, With a population of only 2000, the island itself is just 10 square kilometres, making it relatively easy to navigate by cycle. Known for its stunning white sand beaches, the best is Anse Source d’Argent, one of the most photographed beaches in the world. Located in the heart of Praslin, the famous Vallee de Mai palm forest is a UNESCO World Heroitage Site and home to the largest and heaviest nut in the world, the Coco de Mer.  There are various indigenous species here, including the black parrot, the world’s rarest bird. Easily accessible via a 10 minute taxi boat ride from Raffles Seychelles, the island of Curieuse is celebrated as the home of almost 500 Aldabra giant tortoises. Amongst the largest in the world, they are similar in size to the famous Galapagos giant tortoise. A must see for any traveller wanting to discover what the Seychelles were like 250 years before discovery from the outside world, Aride Nature Reserve is a leisurely 45 minute taxi boat trip from Raffles.

Our Opinion

A stay on Praslin Island at the Raffles Seychelles property is one to remember. Due to the beautiful scenery, stylish décor, great facilities and impressive food we really suggest Raffles for a stay whilst in the Seychelles. We love combining a stay here with a stay on the mainland, either at the Anantara Maia or Constance Ephelia properties.
