The 164 room resort of Anantara IKO is located just a 10 minute drive from the airport on a much untouched beach of Le Chaland. Here you will find where Mauritian culture coincides with the beautiful surroundings.
All rooms and suites are designed with a contemporary style with local artisan products. You’ll have views of the lush gardens around the property or out over the ocean. All come with their own balcony or terrace and complimentary Wi-Fi.
At the property you’ll find an infinity swimming pool, fitness centre, library, tennis courts, yoga, meditation and tai chi classes, as well as snorkelling, glass-bottomed boat tours, paddleboarding, kayaking and kite surfing.
There are an array of eateries at the resort including ‘Horizon’ with international dishes and stone-cooked pizzas, ‘Sea.Fire.Salt’ for fresh seafood, ‘Bon Manzer’ offers healthy nutritious meals, ‘Zafran’ provides Indian cuisine, and ‘Karokan’ has poolside bites. There are also an array of bars available too.
For kids there is a dedicated kids club with a full programme of activities including crafts, games and things like talent shows, sports and board games. There’s also a kids spa menu to enjoy treatments suitable for the little ones and a kids menu with smaller portions and more familiar dishes.

Our Opinion
Having just gone through a renovation in 2023 Anantara IKO has quickly become one of our favourite resorts in Mauritius. Located on the South Coast, this quiet part of the island is idyllic for all those wanting to get away from it all and enjoy a blissful time in paradise. If you'd like to explore more of Mauritius you can do so on one of the many day trips they offer, or make your trip dual-centred with a stay on another coastline!
