Getting There
It really depends on which part of Tanzania you are heading to, but for the most part whether you are flying into Zanzibar, Arusha to Kilimanjaro, it’ll be on an indirect flight.

Getting Around

For travelling around Tanzania most of this is either done overland with 4×4 vehicles or via light aircraft. Getting over to Zanzibar would require a domestic flight from one of many airports.

Accommodation Costs
Accommodation varies in Tanzania with safari lodges and stays in Zanzibar being much higher end than stays elsewhere in the country.

How Long to Stay
We suggest anywhere upwards of 1 week to visit Tanzania for. Often our customers will have time in Arusha, a safari stay with game drives and then over to Zanzibar to relax at the end. Even if you are climbing Kilimanjaro, we suggest some beach time at the end to unwind.

Weather and When To Go
The peak season in which we suggest for our customers to travel to Tanzania is between July and October as at this time of year you will find the migration in the Serengeti and lovely warm temperatures.

We suggest avoiding travelling to Tanzania between March and May as this is when the peak rainfall season is. Despite November – January being low season, rates are lower and often rainfall is minimal during the days.
