Overnight: Aboard the Plane

On arrival into Cape Town, get through passport control, security and collect your bags before reaching the arrival’s hall.

Here, you’ll find your Car Hire’s signs so you can go ahead and pick up your vehicle for the entirety of your trip. Once it’s been picked up, drive from Cape Town Airport to your waterside accommodation.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

After check out, and at a convenient time for you drive to Oudtshoorn from Franschhoek. This journey should take around 4 hours without any stops but we highly recommend stopping along this picturesque route.

Spend a day at leisure in Oudtshoorn, as you have your car we suggest exploring the local area in your own time as it’s pretty special around there!

Drive to Plettenberg bay and check into your idyllic property where you’ll be spending the next 4 nights. The drive should take around 2 to 2 and a half hours without stops.

Spend the next 3 full days at your resort in Plettenberg bay, the views here are uninterrupted and you’ll be grateful to be able to kick back and relax here.

The final stop on your epic trip is near to Port Elizabeth. Here you’ll be staying for 3 nights and heading out on multiple safaris in order to spot the abundance of wildlife found in this area.

Included with your stay you have breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks and drinks whilst on activities. You also have 2 daily game drives, river cruises, guided bush walks and canoeing all to be made the most of during your stay.

These next few days are going to be packed with exploring this area and being on the lookout for wildlife.

The lodge runs it’s own Safari Kids programme in which they are educated about the area and animals in a more child-friendly way. Kids will be able to learn how to create moulds of animal tracks, make bush paintings as well as having their own dedicated playroom with games, crafts, table tennis and DVD’s available to watch.

Time to go home… This morning, after breakfast, you’ll do your final drive, this time to Port Elizabeth Airport.

Drop off your Car Hire and head inside the terminal before checking in for your flight.

Today you’ll be flying back to London via Johannesburg with British Airways.
