Day 1: Fly from UK to Amman
Depart from London Heathrow today on a direct flight with Royal Jordanian to Amman.
On arrival into Amman, get through passport control, security and collect your bags before meeting your driver in the arrival’s hall. They will take you via private vehicle to your first accommodation. As most direct flights usually land in quite late to Amman, your hotel will be booked from the night before so you can check in right away.

Day 2: Amman City Tour
Have a morning at leisure after getting in very late from your flight. Enjoy breakfast and some laid back time before being picked up for a city tour of Amman.
Your city tour will begin with The Amman Citadel. This citadel houses ancient structures and architectural ruins that have been well-preserved to make people aware of the history and culture of Amman. You can also find the ruins of the Temple of Hercules here. Another striking sight here is the Umayyad Palace which was constructed in the 8th century, which is now in a completely ruined state.
It also houses a Byzantine Church that dates back to around the 5th century AD and a National Archaeological Museum that has an interesting collection of artifacts from the different eras of Jordan.
Continue to the Roman Theater, the main highlight of Amman that was constructed in the 2nd century by cutting the northern edge of a hill. For some, it is considered to be one of the best places to visit in Jordan. It has a large amphitheater with a capacity of around 6000 people.

Day 3: Jerash Tour
Your full-day Jerash tour is a comprehensive excursion that allows visitors to explore this ancient city. This tour will include a guided visit to the well-preserved ruins of Jerash, known for its impressive Roman architecture, such as the Oval Plaza, Hadrian’s Arch, the Hippodrome, and the Temple of Artemis.
During the tour, you can immerse themselves in the rich history and cultural heritage of Jerash, learning about its significance as a major city in the Roman Empire. You can stroll along the ancient streets, marvel at the intricate carvings and mosaics, and imagine life during the city’s heyday.
In addition to the historical sites, the full-day Jerash tour often includes a stop at the Jerash Archaeological Museum, where visitors can gain further insights into the history and artifacts of the region.
Throughout the tour, knowledgeable guides provide commentary and share fascinating stories about Jerash, ensuring a memorable and informative experience for participants.
You’ll then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Jerash before heading back to your hotel for the rest of the day at leisure. (Lunch not included).

Day 4: Transfer to Petra
After breakfast, check out and hop in your vehicle ready for an incredible day. First on the agenda is Mount Nebo, this memorial site hosts “Church of Moses” a church built by the first Christians, with stunning views out over Jordan. On a clear day you may even be able to see Jerusalem.
Next up is a drive to Madaba, which is the “City of Mosaics” perched on an archaeological site with over 4,000 years of history buried beneath it. Spend time here exploring all the famous historical mosaics before having lunch at Hikkeyet Setti restaurant.
Hop back into your vehicle for the final drive before reaching Little Petra which is also known as Siq al-Barid, a smaller, less crowded version of the iconic Petra. Explore the narrow passageways and marvel at the carved facades of the rock-cut tombs, the Painted House, a well-preserved Nabataean house that features beautiful frescoes. Then visit Beidah; an archaeological site located about 4 kilometers north of Petra, featuring some of the earliest evidence of human settlement in the region.
Finish your exploration and check into your hotel in Petra for some relaxation.

Day 5: Visit Petra
Meet your guide after breakfast to start this amazing tour of Petra. At the beginning of the trip there is an optional horse ride from the main gate of Petra to the entrance of the Old City, before you will continue on foot to visit the rose-red city.
You’ll have time to explore the new Petra Museum located nearby to the visitor’s centre and the surrounding area before enjoying lunch at the Basin Restaurant.
Once all your exploring has been done you will head back to your hotel for a much deserved and needed rest.

Day 6: Travel to Wadi Rum
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out to travel onwards to Wadi Rum. Also known as the Valley of the Moon, this is the largest of Jordan’s desert landscapes and very much still untouched by humans.
When you reach the desert you will enjoy a 3 hour 4×4 excursion in the desert to see this amazing scenery and various sites, such as Lawrence’s Spring: named after T.E Lawrence, also known as Lawrence of Arabia, who visited this site during his time in the area. The Seven Pillars of Wisdom: a rock formation that is said to resemble the seven pillars mentioned in the Bible. Anfashieh inscriptions: A site that contains ancient rock inscriptions dating back to the Nabatean period
After your 4×4 trip, head to your camp for lunch and to check out your accommodation.
Your 1 hour Camel Ride from your camp will allow you to enjoy the tranquility of the desert as you travel over the sand dunes, rocky formations and through incredible scenery.
Throughout the journey the experienced guides who will be accompanying you will share their knowledge about the local Bedouin culture, history and the natural surroundings of Wadi Rum. They are full of information so ask anything you want to know!
Head back to your camp afterwards for dinner at the camp and to enjoy your stay.

Days 7: Travel to the Dead Sea
Meet your driver and transfer over to your resort located at the Dead Sea. On arrival, check in and enjoy the amazing area you are in and the facilities of your resort.

Day 9: Fly back to the UK
Time to go home… This morning, after breakfast, you’ll be collected for a transfer back to Amman Airport and from here you’ll catch your flight back to London with Royal Jordanian.
