Overland is a good way to travel throughout Jordan, apart from in the bigger cities, roads aren’t too congested and therefore mean travel times are kept at a minimal.

Accommodation Costs
Accommodation varies widely throughout Jordan, you can find some more luxurious 5* properties and some more basic style accommodation, especially in the desert.

How Long to Stay
We really recommend between 1 and 2 weeks to spend in Jordan. With 1 week you can easily visit Amman, Petra and Wadi Rum and for longer trips you can include Wadi Rum and Aqaba.

Weather and When To Go
Jordan does get quite extreme weather often throughout the year as you may find snow in December and January and very high temperatures in July and August.

We suggest that the best times to travel would be in the Spring months (March-June) and in the Autumn months (September and October) for warm weather that isn’t too hot.
